In this blog, I'm going to share some Creative coping skills that you can be helpful for you..
Music:
You can start a lyrics journal, where you write down parts of song lyrics that best describe how you're feeling. This helps you express your emotions and release them instead of keeping them inside.
You can create a playlist of songs that you find relaxing and enjoyable.
You can also listen to the sounds of birds singing and pay attention to the feelings or sensations it brings you.
Paint/Color:
You can choose a color for each emotion you feel during the day. This helps you understand what’s going on in your mind and what things make you feel good or upset.
You can also paint a picture of a safe or relaxing place you’ve been to and imagine it in your mind. Painting images of nature, like the beach or a forest, can help you picture yourself in those peaceful spaces.
Collage:
You can create a collage journal by collecting images that represent how your day went, your goals and dreams for the future, or your feelings. You can also add pictures of things that make you feel calm and relaxed. This can be a fun way to express yourself without using words.
Drawing:
You can draw pictures of places you've visited or create images of nature that make you feel calm and relaxed.
You can also use drawings, doodles, or scribbles to express your feelings, letting your pencil or marker show what words might be hard to say.
Baking:
You can try a new recipe and focus on the smells and textures as you work with the flour. Pay attention to how your body feels as you mix, knead, or shape the dough, and notice any emotions or sensations that come up. This helps you stay in the moment and can be a relaxing way to express yourself.
